Udo’s Oil contains Omega 3-6-9 essential fatty acids. Fatty acids have important roles in the body, especially their role as an integral membrane component of all cell membranes. Therefore, any deficiency in essential fatty acids would greatly reduce the efficiency of membrane-rich areas of the body, such as the brain. Studies indicate that supplementation with fatty acids from the Omega-3 family, the Omega-6 family and the Omega-9 family substantially improve the behavior and cognitive abilities of children with learning disabilities.

Essential fatty acids have been clinically indicated to help prevent a variety of other major diseases and medical conditions, from cardiovascular disease and hypertension (high blood pressure) to treating the symptoms related to menopause. A natural adequate intake of essential fatty acids reduces blood levels of the LDL-type cholesterol which contributes to plaque formation in the arteries. Omega-9 fatty acid also lowers total blood cholesterol, as well as LDL cholesterol levels. It protects the body against high blood pressure, sticky platelets, inflammation, water retention and decreased immune function. Recommended Dose

Adults: Take 1 to 2 capsules three times daily with meals.
