Deglycyrrhizinated licorice, or DGL, has soothing and decongestant properties. It is an herbal
supplement typically used in the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, irritable bowel and
acid reflux. It may also inhibit the growth of H.pylori. It is made from licorice from which the
glycyrrhizin has been removed.
DGL stimulates protective factors in the digestive tract, which soothes and protects the lining of
the stomach and intestines. It is ideal for anyone suffering from symptoms of bowel
inflammation such as abdominal cramping, heartburn, bloating, gas, diarrhea and constipation.
