Red Yeast Rice is a unique natural product used to support cardiovascular health. An extract
from RYR has been fermented with the yeast Monascus purpureus which creates compounds
that has health benefits. Since the 1970s, human studies have reported that red yeast lowers
blood levels of total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (“bad cholesterol”), and triglyceride
levels.
AOR’s RYR with Ankascin 568-R is subjected to a patented extraction process that removes
citrinin. AOR’s RYR does not contain any monacolin K, which is a compound that is associated
with side effects similar to statin drugs.
