60 softgels

Clinically-relevant, high dose astaxanthin to help reduce oxidative damage caused by free
radicals.

Reduces Inflammation:
Astaxanthin is a naturally occurring carotenoid known for its potent antioxidant properties. It is
produced by the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis and is responsible for the reddish-pink
coloration found in certain seafood, such as salmon, shrimp, and krill. Unlike other carotenoids,
astaxanthin does not convert to vitamin A in the human body, making it a unique and safe
compound for supplementation at therapeutic levels. Advanced extraction methods, such as
supercritical CO₂ or natural wet extraction, preserve the integrity of the full-spectrum algae oil,
retaining additional beneficial nutrients present in the algae.

Mechanism of Action:
Astaxanthin’s antioxidant activity stems from its ability to neutralize free radicals and reduce
oxidative stress. Its unique molecular structure allows it to span the lipid bilayer of cell
membranes, providing protection both inside and outside the cell. Additionally, astaxanthin
exhibits anti-inflammatory properties by modulating inflammatory pathways and reducing
proinflammatory cytokines. Clinical indications include eye health, joint health, skin health,
cardiovascular health, and cancer prevention.

Astaxanthin should be taken as recommended by a health care professional.
