Contains 2 billion active cells of Lactobaccilus Acidophilus. It is “friendly” bacteria which normalizes and balances the intestinal flora necessary for good health. It also helps to prevent the undesirable side effects of antibiotics, including diarrhea and digestive problems (1,2,3,4,5,6).

Pro-Dophilus also contains 25 mg of Caprylic Acid which is used to rebalance “friendly” bacteria and reduce yeast in the gastrointestinal tract. Overgrowth of yeast can cause a variety of problems in the body, including issues with the gastrointestinal, genital, endocrine, nervous and immune systems (7).

When used for yeast related issues, Caprylic Acid causes yeast die-off, which in turn causes the yeast to temporarily release more toxins into the system, which may make a person feel worse before feeling better (7). Symptoms can range from mild to moderate and may include fatigue, headache, nausea, flu-like aches, itching, diarrhea, hives and other symptoms that yeast is known to cause. Some people experience no symptoms whatsoever. If you do experience some of these symptoms, they are temporary and they show that the Caprylic Acid is doing its job killing off the yeast spores.
