Vitazan Professional’s Vitamin K2+D3 features 120 µg of K2 as menaquinone 7 (MK7) and 1000 IU of vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), formulated in a matrix of medium-chain triglycerides. Our vitamin K2 is 99.7% all-trans menaquinone-7 (MK-7), the correct geometric isomerization for increased bioavailability and efficiency. Our Vitamin K2 has been demonstrated to be bio-equivalent to fermented Vitamin K2, and is the vitamin necessary for the carboxylation of Gla proteins osteocalcin for binding calcium into the bones and MGP (matrix Gla protein) involved in cardiovascular health. Dietary sources of vitamin K2 are found in low quantities in eggs, meat and cheese, but the richest sources are in fermented foods, such as Japanese natto. Our vitamin K2 MK-7 is synthesized organically from plant-derived compounds, geraniol and farnesol which you typically find in rose oil or citronella oil.
